Description |
Salvinorin A is a psychotropic diterpene isolated from Salvia divinorum. No other natural source for this compound has been identified nor has it been synthetically produced. It is a potent nonnitrogenous kappa opioid selective agonist (Roth BL. et al.: PNAS 99, 2002: 11934-11939). Hallucinogenic effect is observed at single doses of 200 – 500 µg. No activity is observed with Salvinorin B and Salvinorin C. |
