SALVINORIN

Salvinorin A, a natural occuring kappa-opioid-receptor agonist

Salvia divinorum is a subshrub green plant, native to southern mexico, which contains a powerful opioid receptor acitve diterpene known as salvinorin A. It is a very selective kappa-opioid-receptor agonist (KOR agonist) and powerful psychoactive chemical.

We isolate salvinorin A and the inactive derivative salvinorin B in order to develop new applications in the field of pain and itching.
