Description   Red dye (Naphthodianthronderivative) that is natural occuring as sodium- and potassium salt. Hypericin has been shown to have antiviral and antiretroviral activity and to inhibit succinoxidase, NADPH-oxidase, tyrosinkinase and protein kinase C.
